Everything in this section is geared toward those of you who are just starting to work with polymer clay, although intermediate and even experienced clay artists may find a few new tools or techniques to try. You'll discover that the tools you use the most are your hands. They provide warmth to the clay, which makes it soft enough to condition, plus, you don't have to go searching fo' them in your toolbox. If you ever had the chance to play with salt dough or kid's clay as a child, then you know how much fun it is to squish it between your fingers and mold it into whatever you cou d imagine. Polymer clay is a lot like that, but once you're satisfied with your work, you can bake it to make it hard... on purpose!
