Preparing the Chain and Beaded Links

1. (lut five pieces of chain, one that includes five large chain links (2Vi inches [6.3 cm]): and four that include two large chain links (78 inch [2.2 cm]). Set the long chain and the short chains aside.

2. Slide a 6-mm crystal round onto the head pin. Make a wrapped loop that attaches to one end of the longest chain length.

Set aside.

3. Slip a 6-mm crystal round onto an eye pin. Make a simple loop to secure the bead and trim the excess wire. Repeat to make six 6-mm beaded links in all. Set aside.

4. Slide an 8-mm crystal round onto an eye pin. Make a simple loop to secure the bead and trim the excess wire. Repeat to make a second 8-mm beaded link. Set aside.

5. Slip a I2-mm crystal round onto an eye pin. Make a simple loop to secure the bead and trim the excess wire. Repeat to make one more 12-mm beaded link. Set aside.

Stitching the Small Flower Links

6. Cut a 3-foot (91.4 cm) length of thread and thread the needle. String on five button pearls, leaving a 4-inch (10.2 cm) tail. Use a square knot to tie the pearls into a tight foundation circle. Pass through the first pearl strung.

7. String on one 4-mm bicone and one charlotte. Pass back through the bicone and through the next pearl of the foundation circle to make a fringe leg. Repeat this step around the circle to add five bicone fringe legs (or "petals") in all.
