1. I bread a needle with approximately 7 vardx (1.8? m) of beading thread (tlii1- technique is worked single-thread).

2. Insert the needle up through the Lop edge bead, leaving a lail approximately 9 inches (22.9 cm) long.

3- Pick up live beads.

4. Move the beads into position so that the hole ol the lirsi bead i.> turned in the same direction as the edge bead holes; the next three beads are turned with the holes perpendicular to the edge bead holes, and the fifth bead laces the same direction as the lirst.
